Hello, is anyone out there?

Ok, I can’t remember the last time I received a comment on this blog and am wondering if it is even worth maintaining it. Ugh!
Things have been real bad lately. I got rear ended this past Friday and my van is not drivable. I just received a call from the auto body shop telling me I won’t have it back for @ least 2 weeks. Ugh! I will need a rental van which runs around $150 a day and from what I’m told it is going to be very difficult to get the guy’s insurance to cover it. Ugh!!! I am freaking out b/c I can’t be out of work for 2 weeks. It also isn’t fair to expect my employer to let me work from home for 2 weeks strait! I am beyond stressed with all of this!

As if our week wasn’t already bad enough on Tuesday we found out that our baby due in May not have ever existed. As you all know, the BM was MIA for a long time. Well, when the Director of the agency we are working with in Kansas FINALLY tracked the BM down on the phone she hung up on here!!! At this point, we’ve heard thru the grapevine that the BM is no longer pregnant. This means she either miscarried or lied to use to get more $, aborted the baby or was never pregnant to begin with. I am sick just retelling this story. We want to press charges but it is the agency that needs to act on this since she signed contracts with them. There is no way in hell that we will allow her to do this to another couple!

When it rains it pours!

OMG! I am so sorry! Your day/week is really sucking! To find an accessible van with hand controls is really hard, but without it you're stranded! My heart goes out to you with everything that has happened with your adoption. Horrible and painful are the only words I can come up with right now. I hope better/happy news is coming round the corner for the two of you.

Take Care,

Megan

Cait,

I'm so sorry. I do check in to read your blog at least a couple of times a week, I've just been a major slacker about commenting.

I feel so badly for the things that are going on right now, and I wish you well in their resolution. I'm startled to hear about the BM news. How awful!! I hope the agency takes care of this for you and makes sure she doesn't do it again.

Lots of Love,

Joie

Cait,
I'm so sorry to hear about your car! Since they rear ended you, they're at fault and should cover the car. At least, that's what happened with the girl that rear ended me in November. Any way that you and Kyle could carpool?

We are out here and thinking of you and Kyle through this rough time. That BM really gives legitimate BMs an awful reputation in the adoption process. I hope that that agency will do whatever they can do legally to stop her from traumatizing other people.

You, your car, and Kyle are in our thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Brig

Aww, thanks all!!! I feel so loved! Yes, right now is a horrible time for us. Things are not looking good on the van front. The guy that hit me has not reported the accident,so his insurance won't cover a rental for me until they are able to "properly investigate" the claim, which they can't do until he talks to his insurance company and admits his guilt. I even called the loser myself and explained that I am at his mercy and that he NEEDS to call his insurance company. He said he would but has not and he sounded either very groggy or drunk. Ugh!!!

No good news on the adoption front either. We are trying to get the agency to press charges againist the BM but they are not being very responsive. We just will not allow this to happen to another couple.

Caitlin,
We all love you!!! These stories absolutely disgust me. It is so sickening what people do. I had not heard that the BM may not have even been pregnant! Ugggggggggggggh!

The agency may be acting slowly because they are making sure they are legally covered as well.

I am so sorry all of this has happened, and I CAN'T BELIEVE you have to pay $150/day for a rental! UGH! Are you telecommuting at all?

I read your blog whenever you post, even though I may not respond all the time. I certainly understand if you'd want to give it up though, as I have given up mine. :)

Know that you have all my support and you can call me anytime!

P.S. I'd love to come visit you this summer if you are ever free!!! :)

Hey Cait!

I love the blog and am so not cool that I didn't even know to comment! I like what you share and being in on what is going on in your lives as we don't get to talk as much as I would like!

You know we love you guys and think of you so often. Take care of you both and know you will be GREAT parents!

Dinner soon! I will be in touch!

Love, Nat & Steph

p.s. pressure the insurance company....he hit you...make sure you file a police report for the record!

So sorry Cait. This is terrible. My heart is breaking for you. I know your day will come when you have a beautiful baby in your arms. Keep us posted. I think about you daily. I never comment b/c I usually read via my phone and it won't let me comment. Blackberrys are crazy!

I am just getting caught up, so sorry I am late in commenting. I do read your blog! It wasn't showing up in my Google Reader, so I subscribed to the e-mail updates.

I am so sorry that all of this has happened to you. I wish I could say something that would make it better. Thinking of you. Hugs.

Cait,
I'm sorry all of this is happening at once. Did you file a police report when he hit your car? I don't know why the insurance agency can't just use that information (if you have it). Also, doesn't the agency verify that a person is pregnant before they bring them in? That makes no sense to me at all. How much money was this girl given already? I hope you do press charges. You are always in my thoughts (but I always tell you that). I love you Cait. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you. We need to do lunch or dinner soon!!!

XOXOXOXOXO
