We are off tomorrow to Stowe Vermont for Kyle's 40th Birthday. I tried to keep everything a surprise but it has been so hard. We are staying at the Trapp Family Lodge. See link here http://www.trappfamily.com/
For all you Sound of Music movie lovers you will love reading about where we are staying. I stole the blurb below from their website but if you want to read more check out the site above.
"When the von Trapp family left Austria and first gazed on the sweeping mountain vistas of Stowe, Vermont, they knew immediately they had found their new home. And since then, the von Trapp family has invited families to join them in sharing the wonder of mountain living."
We are planning to leave our condo @ 7am Friday. We should get to Stowe around 10:30. Kyle knows we are going to the VT but he does not know where we are staying. I set up a fly fishig excursion for him from 8-1 on Saturday and stupidly had the fly fishing company sent the information to our home address. Kyle saw it arrive in the mail and so he is pretty convinced that we are going somewhere in the Stowe area but I have not confessed yet. The one thing that I'm really excited about that he has no clue about is that one of our couple friends is meeting us in Stowe and will have dinner with us on Saturday night and spend Sunday with us. I also had the bakery at the Lodge make him his favorite b-day cake which is a white cake with strawberries and real whipped cream. We bought the audio version of Michael J. Fox's lastest book to listen to on the way to VT. We are both looking forward to that b/c we both enjoyed his first book.
I'll be sure to take lots of pics to post later.
We've been pretty down lately on the adoption front. We found out for sure last night that the BM definitely had an abortion. She finally called the agency back and confessed to everything. We are so discussed and are very nervous about dealing with future placements. We've learned a lot through this experience and I guess what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? We are hoping the 3rd time will be a charm!! Ok, enough with the cheesy cliches. We hope you all have a great weekend and I'll try to get pics up shortly after our trip.

Hello, is anyone out there?
Ok, I can’t remember the last time I received a comment on this blog and am wondering if it is even worth maintaining it. Ugh!
Things have been real bad lately. I got rear ended this past Friday and my van is not drivable. I just received a call from the auto body shop telling me I won’t have it back for @ least 2 weeks. Ugh! I will need a rental van which runs around $150 a day and from what I’m told it is going to be very difficult to get the guy’s insurance to cover it. Ugh!!! I am freaking out b/c I can’t be out of work for 2 weeks. It also isn’t fair to expect my employer to let me work from home for 2 weeks strait! I am beyond stressed with all of this!
As if our week wasn’t already bad enough on Tuesday we found out that our baby due in May not have ever existed. As you all know, the BM was MIA for a long time. Well, when the Director of the agency we are working with in Kansas FINALLY tracked the BM down on the phone she hung up on here!!! At this point, we’ve heard thru the grapevine that the BM is no longer pregnant. This means she either miscarried or lied to use to get more $, aborted the baby or was never pregnant to begin with. I am sick just retelling this story. We want to press charges but it is the agency that needs to act on this since she signed contracts with them. There is no way in hell that we will allow her to do this to another couple!
When it rains it pours!
